Robot end effector

Two robots undertake the drilling and riveting of aircraft fuselages before the final assembly. The fuselage with a diameter of 4m has a challenging design. In the present model, two energy chains were attached in parallel and on each side of the robot arm. This results in improved accessibility despite the complex geometries and the large number of guided cables and hoses. The latter bring into the application the connecting elements on the one hand and on the other, provide for the extraction of emerging dust. The advantages: A larger working space as well as neutralised collisions between the fuselage and the robot end effector.
