High positioning accuracy
In total, 25 igus® products are used here in a training installation in the automation laboratory at Karlsruhe College. The biggest challenge was to make the room portal. This problem was successfully overcome, however, using the igus® DryLin® W linear guides. In a combination with igubal® ESTM pillow block bearings, it was possible to produce a fully functioning room portal with the required positioning accuracy. Furthermore, using the iglidur® PRT polymer slewing ring bearings enabled the rotational movement of the rotary disk to store the objects.
